If you ask anyone who practices yoga they have a story behind it to tell. My story starts in 2006. I was getting my certification in Lomi Lomi Massage up in Boulder through an amazing couple that travels around the nation. Every day throughout the workshop we would practice yoga. This is the first I was introduced to yoga before it became the phenomenon it has become in he western world. I remember coming out of my certification feeling amazing. About life, about myself, my eyes were wide open and I was more present with myself than I had ever been. I unfortunately did not really pursue yoga until 2008. I had my son in November of 2007 and I was suffering from postpartum as most women do. I knew I had to pull myself out of this funk. I really didn’t want to go back to the gym experience at that time so I decided I would join a local yoga studio. This is where yoga truly changed my life and was the start of a beautiful journey that will be infinite. One month in I decided I needed to be able to give the gift of yoga to others to help improve their quality of life. I was starting college in January and I knew if I was going to have any chance to attend yoga teacher training I had to do it beforehand. So I embarked on my goal and here I am now ready to give back the experiences I have been given through my amazing guides at Samadhi Center for Yoga. Yoga opens your eyes to the present, helps open your mind to what changes need to happen in your life, and to the possibilities of overall wellbeing in the mind, body, and soul.
